Minas Gerais – Vale Memorial wins 2012 Brazil Guide Prize for Best New Attraction

The Minas Gerais –  Vale Memorial was elected Best New Attraction by Brazil Guide Prize 2012. SuperUber created the multimedia and interactive project for the Memorial, which stands out for its innovation.

The best attraction of Praça da Liberdade (Liberty Square), an area that for decades housed state governmental organizations and was recently transformed into a new cultural circuit of the city of Belo Horizonte, has also been selected as the best new Brazilian attraction in GUIA BRASIL 2012 (Brazil Guide 2012). The museum invested in interactive installations to treat historical themes. The focus is on the state of Minas Gerais and the people – homaged by six personalities:  Lygia Clark, Guimarães Rosa, Carlos Drummond de Andrade, Sebastião Salgado, Humberto Mauro and Milton Nascimento, all with spaces dedicated to their work. The curator and museographer, Gringo Cardia managed to portray, in detail, various facets of the land of gold – of farms and baroquian art, from conspiracies to handicraft from the Valley of Jequitinhonha. The technological resources, present in all the exhibits, also permit research about each of the 853 municipalities of the state. Another proof that information, here, goes hand in hand with entertainment.
