Launch of the Olympic Games emblem Rio 2016
projection mapping _ Rio de Janeiro
SuperUber was asked to develop an impactful experience at the launch of the Olympic Games emblem Rio 2016, and created the emblem’s first “performance”: a projection mapped onto a 2 meters-wide sculpture of the emblem, presented by the Rio 2016 Committee in Dec 31st 2010 at Copacabana Palace, Rio de Janeiro, and projected on a big LED screen for the millions at Copacabana beach on New Years eve. The content are animations created specially for the volume. The installation filled the sculpture with light and movement, and created an experience aligned with the emblem’s concepts, created by Tátil Design: movement and tridimensionality.
