TAM Museum

Multimedia project and set design _ ,

SuperUber created the project for the TAM Aviation Museum, in São Carlos, Brazil. Amongst a collection of over 70 rare airplanes, the spaces TAM and Commander Rolim tell the story of brazilian aviation mixed with Rolim’s story. The Rolim space is the soul of the Museum; his story is told using creative ideas uniting design and technology. A model airplane, the same Rolim used in his first flight, is projection mapped with video and animation. Video and touch screens allow visitors to explore interviews regarding different subjects. Another interactive touch screen shows a constellation of Rolim’s famous quotes, talking about his life’s experiences and achievements. Rolim’s partners, friends and family network can be explored on a custom designed multi-touch surface. In the TAM space comfortable seats are surrounded by a dome shaped immersive projection – visitors watch a captivating film about the history of TAM Airlines by looking towards the sky. Seven audio channels create a surround sound environment, composed by Lucas Marcier. The TAM projection dome is the first permanent dome projection created for a museum in Brazil.
